Fraud and impersonation warning
Criminals may copy a company name, logo, website or employee identity to create a convincing approach. This notice explains how to check a contact and what to do if something feels wrong.
Why this warning exists
Impersonation can involve cloned web pages, lookalike domains, social-media profiles, messaging applications or unsolicited telephone calls. A fraudulent contact may use information from public sources to sound credible, then pressure you to transfer money or disclose security details.
AvenQuant publishes this notice so users know which behaviours are inconsistent with legitimate support. We investigate reports and take reasonable steps to limit misuse, but new copies may remain unidentified for a period.
Cloned companies and websites
If a company uses the AvenQuant name, mark or a close variation without permission, do not provide personal information or send funds. Compare the full domain carefully with avenquant.co.uk, including spelling and the ending after the final dot.
Fraudsters can reproduce visual design and legal text. A familiar logo is not evidence that a page is genuine. Navigate by typing the address yourself and contact [email protected] through a separate channel.
Warning signs
- Pressure to act immediately or keep the conversation secret.
- A promise of certain profit, risk-free trading or recovery of previous losses.
- A request for a password, one-time code, seed phrase or remote-device access.
- Instructions to pay a personal account or an unrelated wallet.
- An email address or domain that differs by a letter, hyphen or unfamiliar suffix.
If you suspect fraud
End the conversation, preserve messages and payment details, and contact your bank or payment provider promptly if money has moved. Change exposed passwords from a trusted device, revoke unknown sessions and enable multi-factor authentication.
Send the suspicious domain, caller details, screenshots and a factual timeline to our support email. Do not include passwords, full card numbers or authentication codes. You may also report the matter to the appropriate police or national fraud-reporting service.
Limits of responsibility
AvenQuant cannot control unauthorised third parties who misuse its identity. While we regret losses caused by impersonators and will cooperate with appropriate investigations, liability for independent criminal acts depends on the facts and applicable law.
